The Two-line Monocle Bream, also known as the Twinspot Snapper, is a beautiful and colorful fish found in the Indian Ocean and the Western Pacific Ocean. Its body is a vibrant pinkish-red color with two white stripes running horizontally across its body, and a black spot at the base of its tail. The juveniles have a similar appearance but with a yellow tint to their body. In the wild, the Two-line Monocle Bream can be found in shallow lagoons and coral reefs, often in small groups. They are known to be territorial and may display aggressive behavior towards other fish of similar size and appearance. In the aquarium, the Two-line Monocle Bream requires a minimum tank size of 75 gallons and should be provided with plenty of hiding places such as live rocks, caves, and crevices. They prefer a well-lit aquarium with a sandy substrate and peaceful tank mates. A protein skimmer is recommended to maintain good water quality, and a varied diet consisting of meaty foods such as shrimp, squid, and small pieces of fish will keep them healthy and happy.
