The Batik Snail, also known as the Black Devil Snail or Faunus ater, is a species of freshwater snail from Southeast Asia. It has a distinct black and white spiral pattern on its shell, resembling batik cloth, hence its name. Batik Snails are peaceful creatures and are well-suited for aquariums, as they help to keep the tank clean by eating leftover food and algae. They can also reproduce in freshwater aquariums under the right conditions. However, it’s important to note that they can grow up to 2 inches in size and will need adequate space in the aquarium to move around.
