The Blunthead Wrasse, also known as the Bluehead Wrasse or the Blueband Wrasse, is a colorful marine fish species found in the tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific region. As its name suggests, it has a distinctive blue head and a bluish-green body with yellow fins. This species is typically found in small groups or pairs over shallow reef areas with abundant coral growth. It feeds on a variety of small invertebrates and crustaceans, such as copepods, amphipods, and shrimp, as well as small fish. The Blunthead Wrasse requires a well-established aquarium with plenty of live rock and hiding places, as it may become territorial towards other fish of the same species or similar appearance. It may also prey on small ornamental shrimp and crabs.
