Aquatic Sealife offers a Summer Edition Aquacultured Coral Frag Pack that contains three premium coral frag specimens, perfect for enhancing the visual appeal of your reef aquarium with their bright summer colors. These corals have a moderate care level and require moderate to high lighting and medium waterflow. They are grown in-house at Aquatic Sealife’s Wisconsin facility, ensuring their health and attractiveness as alternatives to wild caught specimens. To maintain their good health, the corals need supplemental calcium, strontium, and other trace elements, and recommended water parameters include temperature between 72°-78° F, calcium harness 8-12 dKH, pH levels between 8.1-8.4, and a salinity range of sg 1.022-1.025. The pack includes a Pipe Organ Coral, a Photosynthetic Plating Red Sponge, and an Orange Stripe Glove Coral, each mounted on a small ceramic plug or a porous block that can be placed easily and securely in or between the rockwork in the reef aquarium. The corals benefit from photosynthetic, symbiotic zooxanthellae algae hosted within their bodies and occasional broadcast feeding in the form of micro-plankton or foods designed for corals. Using Aquatic Sealife’s Professional Reef Salt ensures that marine species shipped from their Wisconsin facility share the same water parameters and will acclimate and transition to your home aquarium with less stress for long-term success.

Plate Coral, Orange – Short Tentacle
Call for PriceThe Orange Short Tentacle Plate Coral, also known as Orange Plate Coral or Orange Fungia Plate Coral, is a colorful and hardy species of plate coral that belongs to the Fungiidae family. This coral is named after its flattened, plate-like shape and vibrant orange coloration, which can range from a bright orange to a reddish-orange hue. As the name suggests, this coral has short tentacles that it uses to catch passing planktonic organisms for feeding. They require low to moderate lighting and moderate water flow to thrive in the aquarium. In addition, this coral is capable of reproducing asexually by budding, which can help it to rapidly form large colonies under optimal conditions. It is generally considered to be a good beginner coral due to its hardiness and ease of care.
