Tongue Coral, Green aka Feather Coral aka Slipper coral (Polyphyllia Talpina)
$86.99The Slipper or Tongue Coral, also known as Herpolitha limax, is a large solitary coral species that can be found in the shallow waters of the Indo-Pacific region. This coral has a distinctive shape resembling a slipper or tongue, with a broad base and a narrow, elongated upper portion. It comes in a variety of colors, including brown, green, and purple. The Slipper Coral is considered a challenging species to keep in captivity due to its specific care requirements. It needs moderate to high water flow and lighting, and it requires supplemental feeding several times a week to maintain its health. However, for experienced aquarists, it can be a rewarding addition to a reef aquarium due to its unique appearance and fascinating behavior.

Australian Doughnut Coral
Call for PriceThe Australian Doughnut Coral (Acanthophyllia deshayesiana) is a large polyp stony coral native to the Indo-Pacific region, including the Great Barrier Reef. It is named for its circular shape and often brightly colored fleshy tissue. The coral has a distinctive appearance due to its large corallites (the skeletal cups that house the polyps) which are separated by pronounced walls. The coral’s polyps extend during the day to feed on zooplankton and retract at night. The Australian Doughnut Coral is relatively hardy and can thrive in a range of lighting and flow conditions, making it a popular choice for reef aquaria. However, it can be sensitive to high levels of nitrates and phosphates, and requires calcium and alkalinity supplementation for optimal growth.
