The Green Clown Goby, scientific name Gobiodon atrangulatus, is a small and peaceful saltwater fish that can add a beautiful splash of color to a reef aquarium. As its name suggests, this goby is predominantly green in color, with a lighter underbelly and darker markings on its head and fins.

Green Clown Gobies are not particularly active swimmers and prefer to perch on live rock or coral structures. They are known to be relatively hardy and can tolerate a wide range of water parameters, making them a great option for beginners. However, they do require a well-established and stable aquarium with plenty of hiding spots.

In terms of feeding, Green Clown Gobies are omnivores and will consume a variety of small crustaceans, plankton, and algae. They can be fed a mixture of frozen or live foods, as well as high-quality pellet and flake foods.

One unique aspect of the Green Clown Goby is its symbiotic relationship with certain species of coral. They have been known to form a mutualistic bond with Acropora corals, providing protection and cleaning services in exchange for a safe place to live. Overall, the Green Clown Goby is a great addition to a peaceful reef aquarium and can provide a pop of color and interesting behavior.
