The Emerald Eye Rasbora (Rasbora dorsiocellata) is a small freshwater fish species that belongs to the family Cyprinidae. It is also commonly known as the Green Rasbora or the Harlequin Rasbora, although the latter name is often used for a different species, Trigonostigma heteromorpha. The Emerald Eye Rasbora is native to Southeast Asia, specifically to the rivers and streams of the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, and Borneo. It typically grows to a maximum length of about 2 inches (5 cm) and has a greenish-yellow body with a black spot on its caudal peduncle (the narrow part of the body just in front of the tail). Its fins are transparent with a slight green tint.
