These fish are native to the Western Indian Ocean, particularly in the waters around Madagascar, Mauritius, and the Seychelles. Evansi Anthias are known for their striking coloration and are popular among aquarium enthusiasts. They have a deep purple body with a yellow-orange stripe that runs along their back, and their fins are a bright yellow color. These fish are relatively small, growing to a maximum length of around 4 inches (10 cm).
