The Gray or Black Angelfish, also known as the Black Angel, is a striking fish found in the Western Atlantic Ocean. They have a dark grey to black body with a distinctive white marking on the forehead that extends down to the eyes. The dorsal and anal fins are edged in a vibrant blue, while the pectoral and tail fins are a lighter shade of grey. This species can grow up to 24 inches in length and requires a large aquarium with plenty of swimming space. They are considered a challenging species to keep in captivity and are recommended for experienced hobbyists.
