This species has a slender and elongated body, with a pointed snout and a continuous dorsal fin that extends to the tail. The male Naoko’s Fairy Wrasse has a vibrant coloration, with a greenish-yellow body, a bright blue head, and a series of pinkish-red stripes running across the body. Meanwhile, the female is less colorful, with a yellowish body and a series of pale vertical stripes running across the body. Naoko’s Fairy Wrasse is a peaceful and relatively hardy fish that can be kept in a reef aquarium. It prefers a well-lit and well-oxygenated aquarium with plenty of hiding places and a sandy substrate. It feeds on small crustaceans and zooplankton in the wild, but can also be fed a varied diet of frozen and live foods in captivity. Due to its smaller size and peaceful temperament, it can be kept with other small and non-aggressive fish.
