Kaudern’s Cardinalfish, also known as Banggai Cardinalfish, is a popular fish in the aquarium trade. They are native to the Banggai Islands in Indonesia, but due to overfishing and habitat destruction, they have become endangered in the wild. As a result, captive breeding programs have been established to help preserve this species. Captive-bred Kaudern’s Cardinalfish are a great choice for aquarium enthusiasts as they are hardy, adaptable, and have a peaceful temperament. They can be kept in small groups and are easy to feed, accepting a variety of frozen and live foods. They are also a visually stunning fish with their black and white stripes and long, flowing fins. As with all aquarium fish, it is important to provide them with a suitable environment, including appropriate water parameters and tank size.
