The Lagoon Shrimp Goby, also known as the Yellow Prawn Goby, is a small fish belonging to the family Gobiidae. It is a popular aquarium species due to its striking yellow and white coloration, and its fascinating symbiotic relationship with pistol shrimp. The goby provides the shrimp with protection and a place to live, while the shrimp digs and maintains a burrow for both to share. In the wild, these gobies can be found in the shallow, sandy areas of lagoons and reef flats in the Indo-Pacific region.
