The Lohachata Botia Loach, also known as the Yoyo Loach or Pakistani Loach, is a freshwater fish species that belongs to the loach family. It is named for its unique appearance, which includes a long, slender body that is silver to golden brown in color with distinctive black stripes and markings. Lohachata Botia Loaches are peaceful and can be kept in a community aquarium with other non-aggressive fish species. They are bottom-dwellers and spend much of their time hiding in substrate or under decor. These loaches are omnivorous and will eat a variety of foods, including sinking pellets, flakes, and frozen or live foods such as bloodworms and brine shrimp. The Lohachata Botia Loach can grow up to 3-4 inches in length and can live for several years with proper care. They prefer a well-oxygenated aquarium with plenty of hiding places such as caves or driftwood. It’s worth noting that Lohachata Botia Loaches are social and should be kept in groups of at least 6 individuals to ensure they feel comfortable and exhibit natural behaviors.
