Scott’s Fairy Wrasse, also known as Scott’s Greenback Fairy Wrasse or Scott’s Wrasse, is a species of small, colorful wrasse that is highly sought after by hobbyists. It is found in the Western Pacific Ocean, from the Philippines to Papua New Guinea, and is often found in rocky reef areas at depths of 50-120 feet. Scott’s Fairy Wrasse has a bright green body with blue and orange markings on the face and fins. Males have a more elongated body shape and longer dorsal fin than females, and will display their vivid coloration during courtship displays. This species is generally peaceful and can be kept in a community aquarium with other non-aggressive fish and invertebrates. However, Scott’s Fairy Wrasse is a relatively delicate fish and requires excellent water quality and a well-established, mature aquarium. It is best kept in a tank with plenty of hiding places and live rock for it to graze on. They are primarily carnivorous and will feed on a variety of meaty foods, such as small crustaceans, worms, and prepared frozen foods.
