The Yellowchest Twist Wrasse (Macropharyngodon bipartitus), also known as the Two-Spot Wrasse or Double-Spot Wrasse, is a small marine fish found in the Western Pacific Ocean, particularly in the waters surrounding Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia. As the name suggests, this wrasse has two distinct yellow spots on its chest, which are more prominent in males. The body is generally greenish-blue in color with some darker blue and black markings, and it has a slender and elongated shape. The Yellowchest Twist Wrasse is a carnivorous fish that feeds on small invertebrates such as crustaceans, mollusks, and worms. It is also known to feed on small fish occasionally. In terms of aquarium care, the Yellowchest Twist Wrasse requires a tank of at least 50 gallons with plenty of live rock and hiding places. It is generally peaceful with other fish but can be aggressive towards other wrasses or similar-looking fish. They are best kept in a species-only tank or with other peaceful fish species.
