The Assorted Aquacultured LPS Frag 5 Pack is a wonderful collection of five hand-selected large polyp stony (LPS) corals that come in a range of colors and shapes. These aquacultured specimens thrive under moderate to high lighting conditions and require high pH, alkalinity, and calcium levels, as well as low phosphate and nitrate levels. They benefit from medium to strong, intermittent water flow and can be fed with zooplankton or coral and invertebrate foods. With proper care, these corals can be cultured and grown into a new colony. The frags come attached to an aragonite plug for easy placement in the reef aquarium.

The coral’s polyps extend during the day to feed on zooplankton and retract at night. The Australian Doughnut Coral is relatively hardy and can thrive in a range of lighting and flow conditions, making it a popular choice for reef aquaria. However, it can be sensitive to high levels of nitrates and phosphates, and requires calcium and alkalinity supplementation for optimal growth.

Hammer Coral, Branching
Call for PriceThe Hammer Coral, also known as Euphyllia ancora, is a popular species of LPS (large polyp stony) coral in the aquarium trade. The branching variety of this coral has elongated, branching tentacles that resemble a hammer or anchor. This coral is relatively easy to care for and can thrive in a variety of lighting and water flow conditions. It prefers moderate to high water flow and low to moderate lighting, and it benefits from regular feedings of small meaty foods, such as brine shrimp or mysis shrimp. The Hammer Coral can come in a range of colors, including green, brown, and pink. It is a hardy and fast-growing species that can add movement and texture to a reef aquarium. It is also known to exhibit a unique behavior known as “sweeper tentacles,” in which it extends long, stinging tentacles to defend its territory against neighboring corals.
