The Campfire Feather Duster (Bispira sp.) is a type of tube-dwelling polychaete worm commonly found in marine aquariums. It has a long, thin, and segmented body that is usually hidden inside a tube made of sand, shell fragments, and mucus. The crown of tentacles, which resemble a feather duster, extends out of the tube to filter-feed on plankton and other small food particles in the water. They get their name from the bright red and orange coloration of their crown of tentacles, which resembles the flames of a campfire. It is a hardy and easy-to-care-for species, but it requires a stable and well-maintained aquarium environment to thrive. In the aquarium, the Campfire Feather Duster should be provided with a substrate of fine sand or coral rubble in which it can anchor its tube. It prefers moderate to high water flow and bright lighting to promote healthy growth and feeding. It can also benefit from regular feeding with small particles of food, such as zooplankton or phytoplankton.
