The Central American Sharpnose Puffer, also known as the Sharpnose Puffer or Canthigaster jamestyleri, is a small, colorful marine fish that belongs to the pufferfish family. They are found in the Eastern Pacific Ocean, from the Gulf of California to Panama. They have a distinct dark stripe running down the center of their body and a yellow-green coloration on their sides. As their name suggests, they have a sharp snout and a small, pointed mouth that they use to feed on small invertebrates and algae. They are generally peaceful and can be kept in a reef tank with caution, as they may nip at corals or other invertebrates.
