The Four Eyed Butterflyfish (Chaetodon capistratus) is a popular species in the aquarium trade. As the name suggests, it has four white-ringed black spots on its sides that resemble eyes, which are thought to confuse predators. The rest of the body is yellow with a black mask around the eyes and a black bar through the dorsal fin. They are found in the western Atlantic Ocean, from Florida to Brazil, and are typically found in shallow waters around reefs and rocky outcrops. In the wild, they feed on a variety of small invertebrates, including crustaceans, mollusks, and worms.
