The Four Stripe Damselfish (Dascyllus melanurus) is a species of marine fish belonging to the family Pomacentridae. They are also known as the Blacktail Damselfish or Black-axil Damselfish. They are found in the Indo-Pacific region, including the Red Sea and East Africa to southern Japan, southern Great Barrier Reef, and New Caledonia. They have a black body with four white stripes, hence their common name. They grow up to about 7.5 cm in length and are popular in the aquarium trade due to their hardiness and attractive appearance.
