The Gemmatum Tang, also known as the Spotted Surgeonfish, is a species of tang that is found in the waters around Indonesia. It has a striking appearance, with a deep blue body covered in small yellow spots and a bright yellow tail. This fish is best kept in a tank of at least 100 gallons with plenty of swimming room and hiding places. It is generally peaceful, but can become aggressive towards other tangs or fish with similar body shapes. A varied diet of seaweed, algae, and meaty foods will keep the Gemmatum Tang healthy and happy in captivity. Due to its striking appearance, the Gemmatum Tang is a popular choice for reef aquariums. However, it should only be kept by experienced hobbyists who can provide the proper care and environment for this sensitive species.
