The Red Belted Anthias, also known as the Oriole Anthias, is a species of saltwater fish belonging to the Serranidae family. Its scientific name is Pseudanthias huchtii. This species is found in the Western Pacific Ocean, including the waters around Indonesia, the Philippines, and the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. It typically inhabits coral reefs, where it can be found swimming in large schools. The Red Belted Anthias has a bright orange-red body with a thin red line running from the nose to the tail. It also has a yellow patch behind its eyes and a black spot on its dorsal fin. This fish can grow up to 5 inches in length and requires a diet consisting of meaty foods such as brine shrimp and mysis shrimp. It is a popular aquarium fish due to its bright colors and active swimming behavior.
