The Wolf Eel (Anarrhichthys ocellatus) is a species of marine fish belonging to the family Anarhichadidae. Despite its name, it is not actually an eel, but rather a type of fish known as a wolffish. It is found in the North Pacific Ocean, ranging from Japan to the Gulf of Alaska and down to Southern California. Wolf eels have a long, slender body, sharp teeth, and a distinctive snout. They are generally brown or black in color with lighter blotches, and can grow up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) in length.
