The Squaretail Bristletooth Tang, also known as the Blue-eyed Tang or Kole Yellow Eye Tang, is a species of Tang that is primarily found in the Western Pacific Ocean, particularly around Hawaii and Fiji. It has a striking appearance, with a brownish-yellow body, vibrant blue eyes, and a distinctive square-shaped tail. In the wild, this species is known to graze on algae and other small organisms. In captivity, it should be fed a varied diet that includes a mix of dried seaweed, spirulina, and other marine-based foods. A 75-gallon aquarium or larger is recommended, with plenty of live rock and hiding places to provide the tang with a comfortable environment. Overall, the Squaretail Bristletooth Tang is a beautiful and fascinating fish that can make a great addition to a well-maintained saltwater aquarium. However, as with all Tangs, it should only be kept by experienced hobbyists who can provide the necessary care and attention.
