The Two Tone Wrasse, also known as the Red Sea Wrasse or the Yellowband Wrasse, is a species of wrasse native to the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. It has a distinct two-tone coloration with a yellowish-green body and a bright blue head and tail. The fins are also blue with black margins. The Two Tone Wrasse is a peaceful fish that is typically found in rocky or coral reef environments, where it feeds on small invertebrates and zooplankton. It is a hardy species that is relatively easy to care for in a well-maintained aquarium with plenty of hiding places and live rock for it to graze on. However, it may become aggressive towards other wrasse species or similarly-shaped fish. In terms of size, the Two Tone Wrasse can grow up to 6 inches in length, with females being slightly smaller than males. They are known to be protogynous hermaphrodites, which means that they begin life as females and may later transition to males as they grow and mature.
