Hygrophila Angustifolia, also known as Willow Hygro, is a popular stem plant that is native to India. It is a fast-growing aquatic plant that can reach a height of up to 20 inches. The plant has thin, elongated leaves that are green in color and grow in opposite pairs along the stem. Willow Hygro is an easy plant to care for and can thrive in a range of aquarium conditions. It prefers moderate to high lighting and can tolerate a wide range of water parameters, although it will grow best in slightly acidic to neutral water with a pH between 6.5 and 7.5. This plant benefits from regular fertilization with a complete aquarium plant fertilizer and the addition of CO2. Propagation of Hygrophila Angustifolia is straightforward and can be accomplished by taking cuttings from the stem and replanting them in the substrate. As the plant grows, it will develop side shoots, which can also be used to propagate new plants. With proper care, this plant can quickly become a lush background plant in any aquarium.
